What Is Devonshire?

Devonshire is a small community consisting of about 1600 homes, duplexes and apartments located in the North end of Columbus, Ohio. To serve our local area, the Devonshire Civic Association (DCA) was formed to provide community guidance and public improvements, block watch security, local government representation, as well as sponsorship in community functions and activities.

The boundaries, of the Devonshire area, are as follows:

North: South side of Schrock Road

South: North side of SR 161

East: West side of Karl Road

West: I-71

DCA Meeting Information:

General meetings take place the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.

Nominations for officers are sought at the November meeting. Elections are held in December.

The September meeting is a potluck. Refreshments and a main course are provided.

Everyone coming to the December meeting is encouraged to bring holiday cookies for everyone to share. Refreshments are provided.

All Devonshire residents are invited to attend every meeting.

Membership:

All homes and businesses within the DCA borders are eligible to be members. Residents under 65 and all businesses pay a $10.00 annual membership fee per home/business. Residents who are 65 and older pay only $5.00 per home. Each home is limited to two voting members

	June and her family are long time Devonshire residents. June has been involved in the DCA for quite some time, filling several different officer positions, over the years. Well, she is at it again. This time she is trying her hand as our Vice President. June has been involved in many different aspects of the neighborhood, including involvement for years in running the Devonshire pool.

Mr. John Dunn - NCC Representative
Picture Not Available	John has been the DCA's Northland Community Council (NCC) Representative for several years now. He attends the monthly NCC meetings and reports back to the DCA what is happening in the Northland area. This function is very important for the DCA to make sure that we are kept informed of all that is happening in all of the surrounding areas and other civic associations.

Annual Devonshire Community Garage Sale:

The DCA sponsors an annual Community Garage Sale, in our area, and invites everyone in the neighborhood to participate. DCA will place adds in many local newspapers. Devonshire is a large neighborhood, so the ads tend to attract a lot of customers. On the day of the sale, DCA will pass out garage sale locator maps. These pages have a map of Devonshire on one side with each sale location marked. On the other side is a list of all the sale addresses, plus a brief description of what is available, at each address.

There is no cost associated with participating in this neighborhood event and you do not have to be a DCA member to participate either.
